Joseph Rushton Wakeling obtained his MSci in mathematics at Imperial College, London, in 2001, and his PhD in interdisciplinary physics at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, in 2006. He has also worked at NIMH/NIH (Bethesda, MD), the Niels Bohr Institute (Copenhagen, Denmark), the ISI Foundation (Turin, Italy), the University of Warsaw, the University of Trento and the Institut Jean Nicod (CNRS, Paris, France). His research interests include complex systems, neuroscience and neural networks, econophysics, agent-based modelling, information science and recommender systems. He is a contributor to the Liquid Publications Project and part of the editorial team for Econophysics Forum. In 2010 he joined the CREATE-NET Research Consortium as Senior Publications Coordinator. He is co-Editor in Chief of ICaST.
