Jan Kaczmarek is a researcher, R&D and innovation consultant and entrepreneur. For many years he has worked as researcher and a manager under international collaborative research projects. Currently Jan is a research assistant at Warsaw University of Technology and runs an innovation consultancy (www.disruptive-concepts.com) as well as participates in a couple of Internet start-up companies. He has recently been nominated board member of MOST Foundation (www.most-program.org). His scientific interests include artificial intelligence, innovation management and business development, behavioural decision models, cognitive psychology, communication technology and applications and their social implications. Jan holds a MA degree in economics (2002) from the Warsaw School of Economics. He is a member of ICaST's editorial board and co-authors the Open Column.
