Fabrizio Granelli was born in Genoa in 1972. He received the “Laurea” (MSc) degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Genoa, Italy, in 1997, with a thesis on video coding, awarded with the TELECOM Italy prize, and a PhD degree in Electronic Engineering and Computer Science from the same university in 2001. Since 2000 he has held the position of Assistant Professor at the Dipartimento di Ingegneria e Scienza dell’Informazione (DISI) of the University of Trento (Italy). In August 2004 he was visiting professor at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP, Brazil). He was appointed Editor-in-Chief of ICaST in 2010.
